At Impact Hub Birmingham I produced a day with Black Lives Matter UK & gal-dem for the Birmingham launch of Patrisse Khan-Cullors’ new book When They Call You A Terrorist. This event was part of the book’s international book tour.

Patrisse Khan-Cullors is an artist, organiser and freedom fighter from Los Angeles, California and co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement.

All events were free of charge including a live episode of Who Got the Juice Podcast? and an in conversation with the BLM leader and writer.

Who Got the Juice? A monthly PODCAST airing exclusively on Newstyle Radio focused on creating change for PEOPLE OF COLOUR with hosts Rakeem Omar, Sara Abbott & Aliyah Hasinah. -- Episode 14! So this has easily become the most important episode of Who Got The Juice? Podcast to date. An episode with one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter? Your other podcasts could never! Your favourite podcast had the opportunity of hosting a lunch with one of the Black Lives Matter co-founders - none other than the amazing Patrisse Khan-Cullors! It was an afternoon of discussion about differences of the BLM movement in the UK & USA, poetic provocations & peng food. We're talking everything from Black Panther, to white supremacy, the labeling of BLM as a terrorist movement, Birmingham slang, UK music, what's next for the movement & more! Its cliche to say you wouldn't want to miss this... but seriously you wouldn't. Grab a cup. Tell your mates. It's about to be LIT Music ALL by Birmingham artists in some fashion which includes: https://soundcloud.com/lumihd/we-stay-young https://soundcloud.com/caycaleb/the-ting-goes-skrrraa https://soundcloud.com/franklinarmstrong/night-one-produced-by-gruff
